Resident Playbook EP9 sees record ratings with just 3 episodes left to air
The ongoing medical-drama Resident Playbook, Episode 9 aired last night to the K-drama’s highest ever ratings — in both South Korean regions.
According to data via Nielsen Korea, Resident Playbook, Episode 9 garnered 6.21 percent of the nationwide rating, versus Episode 8’s viewership of 5.97 percent the week before.
The tvN drama saw an even higher rating in Seoul, grabbing 7.10 percent of the audience share versus its previous episode’s 6.38 percent.
The Korean drama was also the #1 show in its time slot in both regions.
Resident Playbook continues to perform extremely well internationally
The K-drama is also performing exceptionally well outside South Korea.
It is currently still sitting on the Netflix Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart at #7 — the fourth week it has appeared on the chart, due to being in the Top 10 in 10 countries last week.
International viewers on My Drama List (MDL) are also awarding it a high 8.5 out of 10 (high for that site), with comments about the series very positive, and with several people commenting 12 episodes is far too short of a series.
One person is obviously enjoying the Korean series so much, they even commented this (which made me laugh):
I need to have more discipline. I have rewound the family living room scene, the car scene and the outpatient clinic scene so many times I’ve lost track of the episode.
I need to rewatch ep 9 and 10 again.
No wonder people say romance at work is distracting. I am distracted and its not even a real show. Did anyone work this week? Everyone is too busy socializing.
The K-drama’s 10th episode has now been released, and is also streaming on Netflix, which means there are only two more episodes left to air.
The penultimate episode of Resident Playbook will hit the airwaves on Saturday, May 17th.
