Sakamoto Days anime details

Details about the upcoming Sakamoto Days live-action film are sparse (well, actually, pretty non-existent), but they will obviously be coming at a later date.

Meanwhile, the hit anime series the live-action film will be based on premiered on January 11th, 2025 with its first part running through March 22nd.

Part 2 then premiered on July 15th, and ran until last week when it ended on September 16th.

Both parts were animated by TMS Entertainment (Ao Ashi), and are currently streaming internationally via Netflix.

And, if you’re not familiar with the plot, the first volume of the original Japanese manga describes it like this:

Sakamoto Taro is a plump man who runs a local store. His true identity is that of a former legendary assassin, feared and admired by all villains!

How does Sakamoto spend his days protecting his family and their daily lives from the dangers that threaten them?

A neo-action drama that combines battle and comedy begins!
