Secret of Loong Power premieres July 30th – poster of Peng Xing Yue and He Qiu Shi drops
The obviously low-budget wuxia drama Secret of Loong Power (龙门诀之大漠风云变) has a premiere date and, like most Chinese dramas when their release is finally announced, it’s heading our way in the next few days.
Even though it has received pretty much zero promotion from YOUKU since its 6-week filming wrap ceremony in July, 2024.
That premiere date for Secret of Loong Power then is July 30th on YOUKU and, while it may not be a big budget drama, or feature any big names, it still might be well worth watching if you’re a fan of cute boys as this one has them in droves.
The cast of Secret of Loong Power
Secret of Loong Power stars Peng Xing Yue and He Qiu Shi in the main roles, and in their first ever C-drama.
It also co-stars Yu Zhe (Just in Time), Qi Zhi Hao, Zong Mu Yi (Love and Sword) and Huang Yu Zi (Miss Fang’s Love Secrets) in supporting roles.
So, yep, like I said, no big names but lots of cute 20-something boys to drool over, so there’s that.
Plus, actors have to get their start somewhere, so I’m all in for at least giving Secret of Loong Power a chance.

The C-drama itself is reportedly a mix of film footage and AI-created scenes, so should be interesting to see what a Chinese studio can produce from 6 weeks of filming and AI backup.
Particularly as the drama is a full 30 episodes in length.
