Ongoing anime series Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary has released a new trailer and key visual showing the anime’s protagonists enjoying summer like normal people.

The new Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary trailer has been released on the anime’s official website, and it has Kobato and Osanai wondering what to do during their summer vacation and then deciding to head to a local festival where they buy masks and eat food.

It ends with Osanai suddenly realizing she forgot to eat cotton candy. (watch below)

Both the latest Shoshimin trailer and the new key visual are in promotion of the new arc titled Kaki Gentei Tropical Parfait Jiken (aka Case of the Summer-Exclusive Tropical Parfait), which will kick off in the next episode.

Meanwhile, the new Shoshimin key visual has Kobato and Osanai at a cafe eating fruit parfaits, and celebrating the start of the summer that way.

My Anime List describes the anime’s plot like this:

“Let’s help each other and aim to become perfect ordinary citizens.”

Kobato, who once had a bitter experience through deduction activities known as “wisdom work,” was determined to become an honest and humble citizen. He secretly formed a reciprocal relationship with his classmate, Osanai, who shared the same aspiration, planning to make their high school debut as ordinary citizens and lead peaceful days.

However, for some reason, mysterious incidents and misfortunes keep coming one after another into their school lives. Will Kobato and Osanai be able to achieve peaceful days as ordinary citizens?
