The new Ruo Hong Culture-animated Chinese donghua The Destiny Ruler premiered on January 15th on Bilibili’s YouTube channel with the first six episodes released.
Well, Episodes 1-4 were released for regular viewers via this playlist, while Episodes 5 and 6 are only currently available for VIP subscribers to its YouTube channel.
They will be available for non-subscribers in the next few days.
Be aware, though, as of this writing only Episode 1 has English subtitles with subs coming for subsequent episodes (hopefully) soon.
Interestingly too, the donghua is not yet available on the English version of Bilibili’s streaming service.
As for future episode releases for the donghua, The Destiny Ruler (aka Tianming Da Zhuzai) will air new episodes every Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 AM (Beijing time), with VIP subscribers initially getting first access.
What is the plot of The Destiny Ruler?
The fantasy action adventure donghua is animated by the aforementioned Ruo Hong Culture (Tales of Demons and Gods), and produced by Bilibili.
Bilibili themselves describe The Destiny Ruler‘s plot like this:
In Daha Shenzhou, there has always been a struggle between good and evil. The various orthodox sects have united to oppose the twelve demonic sects that act recklessly.
However, over centuries, with the sudden surge of demonic forces, the power of the demonic sects has grown significantly, pushing back the righteous sects to the brink of survival.
Li Wannian, an ordinary cultivator from the Jinyi Sect, has simple life goals: to slack off in the sect and draw a steady salary. However, during a routine mission, he discovers at the brink of death that he possesses the ability to revive on the spot.
More crucially, each time he revives, he gains points based on how he was killed, which can be used to enhance his cultivation. Its first season is scheduled to run for 40 episodes of around 7-8 minutes each.
