The Immortal Ascension exceeds 10000 on the heat index – 4 cool celebratory posters drop

iQIYI drama The Immortal Ascension has passed the coveted milestone of 10000 on the heat index, just two days after it premiered on the Chinese streaming platform, and less than 24 hours after it hit 9500.

The announcement from iQIYI about the C-drama’s success came with another poster of Yang Yang in the role of Han Li, and three posters of his women, and the message:

Tune in at 12:00 (Beijing time) on Youku for new episodes.

The Immortal Ascension stars Yang Yang and Gina Jin in the main roles, with Wang Duo playing Wang Chan, the drama’s main villain, and Zhao Xiao Tang, Zhao Xiao Tang andJin Jia Yue in supporting roles.

The Chinese drama is directed by Yang Yang (not the actor, but the director of A Dream of Splendor and Imperfect Victim).

It premiered on July 27th on YOUKU, and currently has 7 episodes out for VIP subscribers, with Episode 8 available for a TVOD payment.

And yes, as The Immortal Ascension is hugely popular in China, I fully expect it to quickly pass the 10000 heat index barrier by tomorrow and continues skyrocketing up.
