The Immortal Ascension grabs 4 million reservations just 3 days before premiere

Just three days before The Immortal Ascension premieres on YOUKU, and the Chinese drama has already exceeded more than 4 million reservations on the streaming platform.

YOUKU announced that milestone late yesterday along with a new poster featuring actor Yang Yang as the drama’s protagonist Han Li (above), and a message commenting:

Congratulations to #TheImmortalAscension for having exceeded 4 million reservations#!

Be wise and cautious in your pursuit of the truth!

#The Immortal Ascension will be exclusively available on Youku, so stay tuned!

That 4 million reservations is also an additional 1 million beyond the 3 million the Chinese drama had earned only four days ago.

Then again, all signs point to The Immortal Ascension likely becoming one of this year’s most popular C-dramas.

Not only due to its excellent cast, but especially as it is based on the long-running, and incredibly successful donghua A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality.

A donghua that is currently earning over 100 million views a month.
