South Korean TV series The Kidnapping Day, Episode 5 ratings are out and, while the drama saw a slight drop in its ratings from its previous episode’s all-time high nationwide, it earned its highest rating yet in Seoul.

The latest numbers from Nielsen Korea show The Kidnapping Day, Episode 5 earned 3.49 percent of the audience share, which is slightly down from Episode 4’s high rating of 3.60 percent, and still a very solid rating for the black comedy.

In Seoul, however, the Yoon Kye Sang and Yoo Na-led drama earned its highest rating yet with a 3.45 percent of the rating, up from its previous episode’s 3.38 percent.

That rating placed the ENA drama in third place on cable TV for the day.

Considering the first episode of The Kidnapping Day started out with just 1.83 percent of the audience share nationwide, and 1.84 percent in Seoul, it is wonderful to see so many more people tuning in as the drama progresses.

Especially as the ENA drama is one of the funniest, sweetest and most well-written K-dramas released for a while.

The next episode of The Kidnapping Day will air tonight on ENA in South Korea at 21:00 (KST), with Amazon Prime Video streaming it for select international audiences around the same time.
