The Midnight Romance in Hagwon Ep 12 ratings see big jump from previous episode

The ongoing romance drama The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, Episode 12 aired on tvN in South Korea last night to a very nice increase in its ratings after seeing a substantial fall on Saturday night.

Data via Nielsen Korea show Episode 12 of the K-drama grabbing 4.79 percent of the nationwide audience last night, which is a lovely jump from Episode 11’s much lower 3.36 percent.

In Seoul, the Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Joon-led drama performed even better, garnering 5.95 percent of the viewership — up from Episode 11’s rating of 4.30 percent.

Both ratings are now very close to the K-drama’s highest-ever ratings — 5.16 percent/6.32 percent — which it earned for its first episode.

They also made the K-drama the #1 show in its time slot.

With four more episodes to air before The Midnight Romance in Hagwon ends on June 30th, let’s hope the Korean drama’s ratings only continue to rise.

After all, while the dialogue is often wonderful and the plot definitely has problems, it has been a very worthwhile watch for the main leads’ performances and chemistry alone.

For international viewers, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon is streaming on Viki, where it is currently rated a very high average rating of 9.2 out of 10 from over 1,800 viewers.
