The Narcotic Operation hits 22,000 on Tencent’s heat index as crime drama premieres on Tencent/WeTV
Chinese mystery crime thriller The Narcotic Operation has just hit 22,000 on the Tencent Video heat index, just hours after it premiered on the streaming platform.
That excellent result was celebrated by the Chinese streaming service with a vibrant celebratory visual earlier today, and a message congratulating every one involved in the production, while also reminding viewers when new episodes will drop:
#TheNarcoticOperation# #毒暴開放開始#
Congratulations on the early success of the show, especially as the original intention of the show is very popular.
Congratulations to the illegal drug-themed drama for reaching 22,000 popularity points already!
“Cleanse the filth and restore the righteousness forever!
Tencent Video is the only online broadcaster streaming the drama.
VIP members will get 2 episodes updated every day at 19:30 during the first week, with the first 3 episodes releasing on the first day. SVIP members will get 1 additional episode daily.
For international viewers, The Narcotic Operation is now streaming on WeTV international, with the first episode available to watch for free for non-subscribers, and with Episodes 2 and 3 for VIP subscribers.
Episode 4 has also been uploaded for viewers who pay for Express.
Now, I have not yet begun watching The Narcotic Operation, although it is on my list for this weekend’s viewing.
But, if it is anything like as good as the absolutely superb and also-just-premiered-on-WeTV crime thriller ‘Rose Finch‘, which is set in the Republican-era, then it is a Chinese drama that’s a must watch.
