The Queen Who Crowns Ep 12 ends with a bang as it hits another all-time high rating

Korean drama The Queen Who Crowns, Episode 12 ended its run last night with its best ever ratings in South Korea.

Those ratings yet again proved, not only did the TVING/tvN maintain its audience share throughout its entire 12-episode run, it even managed to keep growing it as its final few episodes played out.

That’s why the nationwide rating for The Queen Who Crowns, Episode 12 on Tuesday night was 6.62 percent — up from its previous all-time high for Episode 11 of 5.81 percent.

That excellent jump in viewership also played out in Seoul, where the series finale earned 6.41 percent last night – up from Episode 11’s already solid audience share of 5.40 percent.

Not bad for an historical Korean drama that didn’t get a huge amount of promotion from its network, eh?

The Queen Who Crowns stars Cha Joo Young as Queen Wongyeong, and Lee Hyun Wook as King Lee Bang Won, alongisde Lee Yi Dam and Lee Si Ah.

The Korean drama premiered on January 6th, and ran for 12 episodes until it ended on February 11th, 2025.

For international viewers who may not yet have watched it (and you should, if you enjoy a superbly-written, beautifully acted historical melodrama), all 12 episodes of the K-drama are now streaming on Viki.

On that platform, by the way, The Queen Who Crowns is obviously extremely well-loved, as it ended with an incredibly high rating average of 9.4 out of 10 from almost 2,500 subscribers.
