The Seven Relics of Ill Omen earns 9500 on YOUKU heat index – drops celebratory poster
A new celebratory poster is out for the just-ended sci-fi C-drama The Seven Relics of Ill Omen, as it has now hit 9500 on the heat index on YOUKU.
The Chinese drama ended its 32-episode run yesterday, June 24th.
Well, at least for those willing to pay extra for the final four episodes, while those who aren’t won’t be able to watch them legally until they revert to VIP access next week.
The latest The Seven Relics of Ill Omen poster, which features all six main characters, was released on YOUKU’s Weibo account this morning with the comment:
“The Seven Mysterious Scrolls” hits 9,500 in-platform popularity! 🎭🔥
Unstoppable momentum, endless celebrations! The Seven Mysterious Scrolls has soared to a blazing 9,500 in-platform heat index!
🌀 Deceptive schemes unfold, shadows close in — 💥 Team bonds ignite as they confront the darkness!
The Phoenix Squad’s mission to crack the scrolls’ secrets never stops—and with you by their side, no puzzle is too tough to solve!
So, yes, while it hasn’t been an enormous hit, the Tsai Yueh Hsun-directed drama has garnered a lot of attention, and a substantial number of views.
International viewers in particular seem to have enjoyed it, with users of My Drama List awarding it a solid 8.2 out of 10.
And, while I would say, its definitely not the best C-drama I have watched this year, if you enjoy a very fast-paced, quite exciting series, with decent performances by most of the main actors, pretty solid writing, beautiful cinematography, and a plot that does keep you engaged, even in its dumbest moments (and there are quite a few), it is entertaining.
Especially during its first half.
The Seven Relics of Ill Omen stars Song Wei Long, Liu Hao Cun, Ao Rui Peng, Wang Yi Ting, Zhang Yi Chi and Yang Hao Yu.
All episodes are now streaming on YOUKU.
