The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses’ Ciel character PV – cute demon king’s daughter is after Toto’s head

The new action comedy fantasy anime The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses is scheduled to hit this summer and, in a heads up of what we can expect, we got a Ciel character PV today.

That video came along with the cutest Ciel character art, with both being dropped via the anime’s X account and via YouTube.

Ciel is one of three ‘assassin princesses’, along with Anemone and Goa, with lilac-haired Ciel’s secret identity actually being the daughter of the Demon King.

In her character PV, we learn teeny tiny Ciel’s goal is to be a fully-fledged wizard, but in order to do that she needs to retrieve the hero’s head.

Well, that’s not good, is it?

Things get even more complicated when hero Toto vows to do everything he can to “protect her”, even as he can barely look at her as her extreme cuteness makes him blush like a tomato.

Ciel’s husky voice, by the way, belongs to voice actress Iori Saeki, who you will already know from roles like Vanilla in Nekopara, Amelia Rose in The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World, Henzan-sensei in Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, and King Halo in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.

The upcoming anime adaptation of the fantasy action comedy manga written by Norishiro-chan and illustrated by Yukiji Setsuda is being directed by Noriaki Akitaya (The Unwanted Undead Adventurer — one of my favorite fantasy anime of the last couple of years, so I am definitely looking forward to this).

Series composition is by the extremely prolific Michiko Yokote (Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill), and with character designs from Takao Sano (The Honor Student at Magic High School).

Studio CONNECT (Ayakashi Triangle) is animating.

The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses plot goes like this:

Although the hero Toto is a powerful character, he is extremely shy so cannot form a party. That means he has never been able to go on an adventure.

Then, three beautiful women, Ciel, Anemone, and Gore, approach him and ask him to form a party with them!

However, while they may be beautiful and innocent looking, in reality their goal is to take the hero’s life…!? The battle between the three assassin princesses to defeat the strongest hero begins!

The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses anime is due to premiere in July, 2025.
