The Winning Try Ep 8 viewership is best yet as K-drama sees big jump in ratings vs Friday night
The SBS comedy rugby-themed drama The Winning Try, Episode 8 earned its best ratings yet tonight.
According to data via Nielsen Korea, The Winning Try, Episode garnered 6.8 percent of the nationwide audience — which is quite a substantial jump from last night’s already strong 5.4 percent.
The Korean drama performed even better with audiences in Seoul on Saturday night, where it grabbed an even higher 7.3 percent of the viewership — up from Friday night’s rating of 5.7 percent.
Both ratings, of course, are excellent.
Especially considering, on Saturday evenings, The Winning Try airs in the same time slot as Mary Kills People on MBC, and overlaps the first 20 minutes of JTBC’s new legal drama Beyond the Bar.
With just four episodes of the Korean drama left to air then, and with it already being the most-watched mini-drama on Friday night, chances are we will only see it continue to earn higher ratings going forward.
The Winning Try stars the excellent main cast of Yoon Kye Sang, Im Se Mi and Kim Yo Han, with a superb supporting cast that includes Kil Hae Yeon, Kim Min Sang, Jang Hyuk Jin, Lee Sung Wook and Jung Soon Won.
It airs every Friday and Saturday evening on SBS in South Korea, with Netflix streaming it internationally.
