Twinkling Watermelon Ep 7 has STEADY ratings – International viewers LOVE it

The Korean coming-of-age, time travel drama Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 7 aired in South Korea on Monday night to steady ratings.

Official Nielsen Korea numbers show the tvN drama grabbed 3.55 percent of the audience share, which is consistent with most of its previous episodes.

In Seoul, Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 7 garnered a higher 4.04 percent rating, which is also in the same range as its previous three episodes.

The ratings placed Twinkling Watermelon in first place in its time slot on cable TV both nationwide and in Seoul.

International viewers love Twinkling Watermelon

Outside Korea, the drama is also receiving excellent ratings from international viewers with Viki, where it is streaming, showing the drama earning a very high score of 9.7 out of 10 from users of the platform.

Users of the Asian drama-focused site My Drama List are also currently rating the show a very high 8.7 out of 10, with viewers seemingly enraptured with the time travel plot and the excellent performances from the cast.

The next episode of Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 8, will air tonight on tvN in South Korea at at 20:50 (KST), with Viki streaming it for its users soon after.

That episode will take the drama to the halfway point of the 16-episode drama.

Twinkling Watermelon features the superb cast of Ryeoun, Choi Hyun Wook, Seol In Ah and Shin Eun Soo.

The tvN drama is currently the only drama airing on Korean TV on Monday and Tuesday evenings until KBS2’s The Matchmakers premieres on October 30th, so you can give it all your attention.
