Wang Kai and Peng Yu Chang’s ‘Jiao Feng’ starts filming – booting ceremony photos released, main cast confirmed

Wang Kai and Peng Yu Chang’s new drama Jiao Feng has started filming today, with Tencent Video releasing photos from its booting ceremony via their Weibo account.

Tencent also confirmed the C-drama’s main and lead supporting cast, which includes quite a few surprises. (Ou Hao — color me thrilled!)

That cast looks like this:

The main cast has gathered, and the battle of wits is about to begin.

Written by Wang Xiao Qiang (In the Name of the Brother), directed by Yao Xiao Feng (Northward), with executive producer Zhang Yi Yun.

Starring: Wang Kai, Peng Yu Chang, Ou Hao, Zhou Yi Ran, Qiu Tian, Cheng Tai Shen, Qi Xiang, and other cast and crew members assembled at the launch event.

#Jiao Feng# is now passionately underway.

Linmon Pictures, which is continuing to target international markets with its C-dramas (Yay!), and with the recent big hit A Dream Within a Dream one of theirs, is one of the co-producers.

As is pretty usual with Chinese dramas, an English title has not yet been announced, but Jiao Feng (aka 交锋) does translate to ‘Confrontation‘.
