Wang Xingyue’s Love in Red Dust – 6 stunning character posters released
iQIYI has released new posters for Wang Xingyue upcoming Chinese historical romance drama Love in Red Dust and, like so much put out by Chinese production companies, they are incredibly striking.
The six Love in Red Dust character posters feature male lead Wang Xingye (The Double) as Yuwen Hong Ce, female lead Xu Ruohan (The Best Thing) as Mu Xiao Shu/Wen Ding Yi, Chang Long (Love’s Rebellion) who plays Yuwen Hong Tao, Chen Shujun (Smart Constable Chronicles) as Bao Xiao Man, Cheng Hongxin (Dashing Youth) who is playing Yue Kun/Wen Ru Jian, and Zi Xuanzhang (Blossoms in Adversity) as Hui Jie.
Each actor is photographed against a dark greyish-blue background wearing the costumes they will wear in the drama, and holding the objects that will be associated with them.
Yep, so beautiful. (And is it just me, or do you also have the urge to print out many of these C-drama posters, frame them and hang them all over your abode?)

The plot and production details for Love in Red Dust
Titled Love in Red Dust in English and 红尘四合 in Chinese, the new C-drama is directed by Chu Yui Bun (Blossoms in Adversity and Story of Kunning Palace), and written by Qin Wen (Rising with the Wind/Blossoms Shanghai).
It is based on the novel Hong Chen Si He by You Sijie, and will stream via iQIYI.

As for the Love in Red Dust plot, via Baidu, it’s one of those cross-dressing shows where we can all tell the ‘guy’ is a girl, while every character in the drama cannot.
Wen Dingyi (Xu Ruo Han) is the daughter of former Vice Minister of Revenue Wen Lu. Unconvinced of her father’s alleged corruption, she plans to journey north to seek out her brother and uncover more clues.
At the same time, Prince Chun Yuwen Hongce (Wang Xingye) is ordered to investigate a major corruption case within the court and must also travel north to Yuanliao Mountain for his inquiries. The two end up traveling together.
Along the way, they stand up for justice, punish the wicked, and uphold virtue.
They foil a conspiracy by corrupt individuals minting counterfeit money for profit, expose fraudulent cult leaders, capture villains who harm the people, and even uncover signs of the Wudi tribe infiltrating the border to cause trouble.
Throughout their journey, mutual affection grows between them, and they eventually become a devoted couple.
As you’d expect, right?

Filming of Love in Red Dust is currently ongoing with, as usual, a projected 150 day filming schedule. We will let you know as soon as iQIYI announces its premiere date.
