Do you have a huge amount of time to spare? Are you a big donghua fan?
Have you always wanted to watch the hit cultivation series 100,000 Years of Qi Refining but now, with over 200 episodes released, it seems a little daunting.
No worries, as Tencent Video has just made watching 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episodes 1 to 200 incredibly easy, as they have uploaded all 200 episodes in one long video.
Yep, 200 episodes all in one fell swoop.
Of course, that video does run for 23 hours, 31 minutes and 38 seconds so, yep, it is still a major time investment.
But, being able to easily find the first 200 episodes, without having to search through various YouTube channels to do it, and not having to fast forward through each episode’s opening theme and closing theme, makes that task far less annoying.
Do be aware, however, the English subtitles start disappearing some time around the 21st hour, but Tencent will likely get that fixed soon.
You can watch the 100,000 Years of Qi Refining, Episodes 1 to 200 video below and, yes, I can attest to it being a very fun watch.
It also looks like it will be a popular one as, even though the donghua premiered a couple of years ago, the video already has over 45,000 views in just the five days since release.
100,000 Years of Qi Refining details
The first episode of the long-running Chinese donghua premiered on February 18th, 2023, and is still ongoing, with two new episodes releasing weekly.
Tencent describes the plot of the historical, cultivation, martial arts donghua like this:
One hundred thousand years ago, he was the founding disciple of the Tianlan Sect, his master ascended to the top, and he was refining Qi.
Ninety thousand years ago, his martial nephew ascended, and he was refining Qi.
Fifty thousand years ago, the old dog who was the gatekeeper of Tianlanzong also ascended, and he was still refining Qi.
Thirty thousand years ago, the old tree at the foot of the mountain also became a demon, and he was still refining Qi before he could pass the catastrophe.
Ten thousand years ago, Zhang Wuji, the 9872nd generation disciple of Tianlanzong, also ascended, and Xu Yang silently refined Qi.
He retreated for 10,000 years, and finally, he broke through the 9999th floor of the Qi refining period! Ten thousand years later, he broke through and came out!
The donghua is animated by Suoyi Technology (Spy x Sect), and produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures.
It is scheduled to run for 260 episodes before the series ends, although that of course can change. (Update: 226 episodes of the fantasy action adventure donghua are now out in China — with the latest episode getting more cool stills earlier today.
