It is still almost a year before Evangelion: 3.0+1.0, the final installment in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy film series releases in June, 2020. Yet the film has still been given a second teaser trailer today.
The first of the four films, which are a remake of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series, was released in 2009 in North America (yes, this is a long, drawn out process).
The last will be released next year.
When it is, it will give fans of Evangelion a completely different ending than the original TV mecha anime series.
No hint, of course, in today’s just-released Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 teaser trailer as to what that ending may be.
Instead, just a 34-second trailer showing more of the gorgeous animation we are likely to get when the film finally hits theaters.
