Watch Great Journey of Teenagers S4 trailer – donghua premieres January 8th

The latest season of the Chinese historical martial arts donghua Great Journey of Teenagers (Season 4) (aka Shaonian Ge Xing: Xue Ran Tianqi Pian) is scheduled to premiere tomorrow, January 8th.

Character PVs for the series’ main characters were released last week, with a full trailer for the historical donghua coming out a few weeks before that. (see below)

That trailer shows things kicking off for protagonist Xiao Se (again!) as the most useless and annoying girl in donghua, Qianluo Sikong, (sorry, I can’t stand her) sticks her oar in, and Wuxin appears to be in major trouble.

Great Journey of Teenagers S4 details

Like previous seasons, Great Journey of Teenagers, Season 4 is an adaptation of the hit novel series written by Zhou Munan.

It is again animated by animation studio CG Year, and produced by YOUKU Animation and Bilibili.

Bilibili describes the latest season’s plot like this:

After bidding farewell to the immortal mountain, Mo Yi and Bai Li Dong Jun, two of the world’s greatest martial artists, went into seclusion.

Xiao Se’s meridians have now fully recovered, and he returns to the realm of carefree immortality.

Lei Wujie and the others also received gifts from the immortals, each experiencing an improvement in strength.

So, the group decides to head to Tianqi City. It is a farewell in the martial world, but a reunion in the imperial court.

The three major forces, led by King Yong’an Xiao Se, King Bai Xiao Chong, and King Chi Xiao Yu, gather together, and the fight for succession officially begins. Who will ascend to the Dragon Throne of Tianqi?

Watch as Xiao Se navigates danger, turning the tide and altering the course of destiny.
