Which Chinese actor voices Shi Hao in Perfect World and stars in Fog Hill of Five Elements?

When it comes to Chinese voice actors, it often seems when someone voices a character in a hit donghua, they then voice characters in a slew of other series.



No surprise there as, after all, why hire an un-tested actor when another has already proven their talents.

Case in point, the Chinese voice actor who voices Shi Hao (aka Huang) in the Perfect World donghua series.

A role he has played since the hit animated series premiered in 2021, and one he does not seem to be giving up any time soon. (Nor should he, as he’s excellent).

Who voices Perfect World‘s Shi Hao?

That voice actor, of course, is Jinwen Chen (陳錦聞), an almost-35-year-old actor who was born in Danzhou, Hainan, China on April 3rd, 1989 and who has starred in a slew of popular donghua since he began his acting career a decade ago.

More often than not, in the main roles. One of them includes playing Wenren Yixuan in the popular donghua series Fog Hill of Five Elements.

Some of the donghua series Jinwen Chen has starred in, and some of the characters he has played include:

  • Fog Hill of Five Elements (2023) voicing Wenren Yixuan

And that is the actor who voices Shi Hao in Perfect World.

Perfect World is animated by Foch Films and produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures.

It premiered on April 23rd, 2021, with Episode 197 due out this week.
