Wind Breaker’s Kiryu Mitsuki gets cute birthday illustration first in a series of new character visuals

The official X account for the Wind Breaker anime series has just posted the first in a series of birthday illustrations for the show’s main and supporting characters.

The first Wind Breaker birthday illustrations is for pink-haired first-year student Kiryu Mitsuki whose birthday is on August 19th. (see below)

In the illustration, Kiryu is backed by heart-shaped balloons, and is drinking a birthday-themed drink.

As usual, Kiryu is also wearing his Furin school jacket lazily draped over his arms with his pastel-colored geometric-shaped shirt showing under it.

Wind Breaker, Episode 11 is all about Kiryu

Fans of the Wind Breaker anime will remember, while he showed up in earlier episodes, Kiryu Mitsuki got his first “big appearance” in Episode 11 when he bumped into Sakura, Nirei and Suo at the Muscle Power cafe.

The four then go on to fight a group of punks outside Muscle Power, after they pick a fight with Kiryu over the girl he has just rescued from them.

Wind Breaker is based on the manga written and illustrated by Satoru Nii.
