World of Immortals, Episode 8, “The Mysterious Little Tree” stills released featuring Xiao Chen and “his girls”

With Episode 8 of the donghua World of Immortals premiering yesterday for WeTV’s paid subscribers, animation studio Qingxiang Culture has also released stills from the latest episode on their official Weibo page.

Those stills are from the current Dragon Island Arc and are a mix of protagonist Xiao Chen, shots of Yan QingCheng from the Undying Sect, a lovely still of the sleeping Holy Light Dragon, which is guarding the sacred tree the Three Kings want, and, sadly, that annoying princess (aka The Heavenly Maiden) who, yep, is back again.

Really, can’t Xiao Chen just kill her already!

Along with the stills, Qingxiang Culture commented about the new episode:

Meeting a new enemy, Xiao Chen meets the Dragon Sacred Tree for the first time!
Temporary alliances are made, and the forces of Dragon Island enter the picture!
The Heavenly Maiden is here to avenge her friend’s defeat.

World of Immortals, Episode 8 itself follows Xiao Chen as he and his friends, the kings, first steal some dragon eggs from under the nose of Yarod from the Forest Tribe and his friend, and then head to where the Holy Light Dragon is sleeping.

There, they send Xiao Chen to get the tree the dragon is guarding as, once they have it, they can cultivate to a higher level.

But, as they are fighting, the Kings hear the Forest Tribe guys approaching and go outside, leaving Xiao Chen to cultivate more.

The episode ends with a fight between the Three Kings and the Forest Tribe folks, with the kings getting ripped apart, and the re-emergence of that princess, who has been brought to find Xiao Chen so she can kill him by Yan Qingcheng from the Undying Sect.

World of Immortals (aka Chang Sheng Jie) is animated by Qingxiang Culture, and produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures.

The 26-episode donghua premiered on October 29th with two episodes, and with a new episode coming out every Tuesday on WeTV’s own streaming platform, followed by an upload for its paying members on the Tencent Animation YouTube channel.

The episode will then be released free-of-charge for anyone to watch beginning next Tuesday.
