You Can Have My Back, Volume 3 now out – the political intrigue continues as the country heads towards war

For Boys’ Love fans, the excellent fantasy BL light novel You Can Have My Back, Volume 3 written by Minami Kotsuna and illustrated by Hitomi Hitoyo is now out via Yen Press.

Published on October 1st, You Can Have My Back, Volume 3 continues with the story of the romance between Ionia, who is now reincarnated as Leorino, fourth son of the Margrave of Brungwurt, and the king’s younger brother, Prince Gravis.

All while the political intrigue in the plot continues to unfold (and it’s a good one with several unexpected plot twists!)

In Volume 3, Yen Press describes the story in this way:

It is revealed that Leorino is the reincarnation of Ionia, and he and Prince Gravis finally understand each other’s feelings.

However, the mastermind secretly communicating with the enemy country is on the move again, and the footsteps of war are approaching…

Yep, the romance between Leorino and Gravis is finally back where it should be.

As usual, the novel is an intriguing and deep read comprising 464 pages and with one of the series’ usual gorgeous covers from illustrator Hitomi Hitoyo, as well as similarly beautiful illustrations inside. (see above)

Like the previous two volumes, You Can Have My Back, Volume 3 is available in both digital and paperback versions, with Books-a-Million currently selling the book at a lower rate than other vendors. ($12.75)

If you haven’t given this Boys’ Love light novel series a try yet, I think you will be happily surprised, as both Leorino and Gravis are interesting men with superb chemistry.

The novels are also well-written and quite detail-oriented, especially if you enjoy a little political intrigue in with your BL romance (and, yes, there are sex scenes that can be a bit too long, but you can skim), while the lovely illustrations really add to the enjoyment.

I just wish there were more of them.

The novels are also not just your typical Boys’ Love fare, as the plot explores the themes of love, identity and loyalty, as well as duty to one’s country.

You Can Have My Back, Volume 3, which is the series final volume, was published on October 1st via Yen Press’ Yen On imprint.

You can, obviously, grab the first two volumes there as well. Here are all the details.
