Yummy Yummy Yummy hits 23,000 on heat index – drops 3 gorgeous posters to celebrate

Chinese food-themed historical romance Yummy Yummy Yummy premiered today on Tencent Video and immediately skyrocketed to 22,000 on the platform’s heat index. (Here’s how the heat index is calculated)
Tencent released three celebratory posters as the C-drama headed upwards on the index — all featuring the main and lead supporting cast — starting out with 20,000, quickly followed by 21,000 and then 22,000. (See posters above and below)
And, before we go any further, can I comment on how absolutely gorgeous the Yummy Yummy Yummy posters and other visuals have been since the C-drama was announced?
So much so, they have been immediate standouts and instantly recognizable as Yummy Yummy Yummy promo pieces versus so many of the thousands of other posters Chinese production companies release.
Yep, the drama’s visuals team needs a promotion, right?

Along with the poster that dropped as Yummy Yummy Yummy exceeded 22,000 on the index, Tencent also commented:

Starring Wang Yi Lu (@王影璐_), and Li Yun Rui (@小林是李昀锐) (ranked by the number of strokes in the surname), alongside Chang Long (@昌隆小朋人), Feng Jia Yi (@冯嘉怡), Sui Jun Bo (@遂俊), and Han Mo (波 @Molly韩漠).
Of course, for anyone watching the Chinese drama, it was pretty obvious Yummy Yummy was likely to be successful, and quickly.
After all, not only is Li Yun Rui, one of China’s most popular current heartthrobs, the male lead, but female lead Wang Ying Lu has also seen an enormous upsurge in her popularity since she starred in both the recently-ended When Destiny Brings the Demon and Twelve Letters earlier in the year.
As for Yummy Yummy Yummy, the fantasy historical romance drama premiered on October 8th and currently has four episodes out for VIP subscribers to Tencent Video and to WeTV internationally.
Episode 5 is also available for those viewers willing to pay for Express. (That’s not me, by the way!)
