Zhou Ye and Zhu Zheng Ting’s ‘Red Dance Shoes’ begins filming – booting ceremony photos drop
The upcoming Chinese romance drama Red Dance Shoes, starring Zhou Ye (Legend of the Female General) and Zhu Zheng Ting (Dashing Youth), has begun filming.
Photos of both Zhou Ye and guest star Wang Zi Qi at the drama’s booting ceremony were released on Tencent Video’s Weibo account earlier today, with two messages.
The first message, which arrived along with the photos of Wang Zi Qi, who has a guest role in the C-drama, said:

The second set of booting ceremony photos were of main female lead Zhou Ye, and came with a message saying:

Starring: Zhou Ye
The C-drama stars Zhou Ye, Li Hao Fei, and Zhu Zheng Ting, with a supporting cast that includes Li Jia Nuo, Ma Xi Er, Xu Wang, Zhang Kai Chun and Vivian Wang.
Guest stars also include the aforementioned Wang Zi Qi, Zhang Duo, Hu Ke, Cao Fei Ran, Shi Ke and Li Yu.
Red Dance Shoes tells the love story of dancer Lin Xue Fan (played by Zhou Ye) and Ma Xiao Dong (Wang Zi Qi).
And yep, that’s weird casting in and of itself as, according to Tencent and other information we’ve received, Wang Zi Qi is the male lead, but he is also just a guest star.
Guess we will see how that pans out once Red Dance Shoes drops, right?
