2nd Scooped Up by an S-Ranked Adventurer trailer features ED “Hikari Sasu Tobira” by ChouCho – and it’s sweet

Fantasy adventure anime Scooped Up by an S-Ranked Adventurer has a second promotional trailer out today, featuring its ending theme song — “Hikari Sasu Tobira” by ChouCho.

A song that is a really sweet addition to the anime, and one that we will be able to hear in its entirety when the fantasy anime premieres on July 5th.

The trailer too shows off the lovely art style and character designs, for an anime that, if you enjoy a show with very cute girls, this one has them in abundance — from bespectacled Silica, to pink-haired Yui and lavender-haired, furry-eared Claire — all super super cute.

Scooped Up by an S-Ranked Adventurer production details

The upcoming Felix Film-animated series is directed by Hiroshi Tamada with series composition from Akihiko Inari, and those ultra-adorable character designs from Yuuta Itou.

All three have already worked together before on Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement, and they did a fine job with that series too.

As for the fantasy anime’s plot, it goes like this:

“We don’t need a white mage who doesn’t have the skills.”

One day, Lloyd, a white mage, is suddenly fired and expelled from the hero’s party. Lloyd is at a loss, but then he happens to meet a party of S-rank adventurers who are looking for a white mage, and ends up accompanying them on a quest.

At this time, no one knows that the hero’s party will fall apart and that Lloyd will gain fame.

This is the story of an extraordinary user of support magic who believes himself to be normal, who becomes an adventurer and unconsciously becomes unrivaled.
