The upcoming fantasy romance anime The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor is due to premiere on October 9th and, ahead of that, the production committee has just released a new character video.
This time, it is for the Dragon Emperor himself — Hadis Teos Rave — one of the protagonists of the story, and a gorgeous stud in his own right.
That Hadis Teos Rave character video proves that, while most of us may just be terrified of a Dragon Emperor, in real life the man himself is a little bit effeminate — not only speaking with a light, soft voice, but also loving to bake cookies and bread, and blushing at the drop of a hat.
Quite sweet really.
Hadis Teos Rave, by the way, is voiced by the brilliant Japanese voice actor Kikunosuke Toya. You will probably already know him as the voice of Denji in Chainsaw Man (his first lead role), Donny in The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, and Fubuki in The Elusive Samurai.
In the new Hadis Teos Rave character video, he is doing another bang-up job, isn’t he? (watch above)
The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor details
The new fantasy anime is based on Sarasa Nagase‘s light novel series, which was illustrated by Mitsuya Fuji.
The English language version of the novels is being published by Cross Infinite World, with six volumes currently out.
Yen Press is publishing the manga adaptation — and they just published the fourth volume in that series in August.
The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor anime is being directed by Kentarou Suzuki (Requiem of the Rose King), with Sana Komatsu (The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3) designing the characters, and Atsuo Ishino (Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura) in charge of series composition.
J.C. STAFF (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) is animating the series.
Publisher Cross Infinite World describes the light novels’ plot in this manner:
Jill is sentenced to death by the crown prince, her fiancé. But just before she dies, she’s sent back in time six years to the party where their engagement had been decided. To avoid this route of ruin, Jill immediately proposes to the person standing behind her…but it’s the man who was her greatest enemy, Emperor Hadis?!
Jill knows all about his future descent into evil. She quickly retracts the proposal, but the delighted Hadis takes her back to his castle and makes her a meal. Completely won over by the food, Jill makes a life-changing decision…
“I’m going to reform—no, I’m going to make you happy!”
It’s time to redo this life with the enemy!

This one looks exceptionally cute!
