The Korean weekend drama Iron Family, Episode 4 aired early on Sunday evening to a very nice audience share increase, earning the popular black comedy its highest rating yet.

That rating nationwide was 15.4 percent, which is a full percentage point increase from Episode 3’s viewership of 14.4 percent.

The increase of audience numbers, however, was even higher in Seoul where Iron Family, Episode 4 jumped from 12.3 percent on Saturday night to a viewership of 14.3 percent on Sunday.

Both ratings placed the KBS2 drama in the #1 spot as the most-watched show of any kind on Sunday.

Iron Family, of course, is a weekend drama, which means it has many more episodes than a usual Korean drama. In its case, a planned 36 episodes.

With the drama already rising in the ratings after just four episodes then, it is also likely we will see much higher ratings as its run continues.

Especially as almost every KBS2 weekend drama tends to perform exceptionally well.

So far, other than Episode 2 when it was in 2nd place, Iron Family has also been the #1 most watched show of the day.

If that continues, like it has with most other KBS2 dramas, it will also be difficult for any other drama to knock Iron Family off its top spot.

Iron Family stars Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Choi Tae Joon, and Yang Hye Ji.

The Kdrama airs on Saturday and Sunday evenings in South Korea, with both KOCOWA and Viki streaming it in the west.

On Viki, by the way, it is currently rated an exceptionally high 9.5 out of 10, proving the Korean drama’s popularity once again.
