Upcoming anime The Shiunji Family Children has just dropped another character visual on its official X account.
It is the first of five upcoming “date visuals”, one for each of the five Shiunji sisters — which are now hitting in anticipation of the anime’s April 8th premiere.
This time it’s an actual date visual for oldest daughter Banri Shiunji, and features the pretty young woman sitting in the corner window of a bar high above the city and looking sweetly at her date as she blushes.
On the table are flower petals and a glass of white wine.
According to the anime’s X account comment, Banri is at the Hotel Century Southern Tower near Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station.
Interestingly, all five of the visuals are in places located near railway stations.
The Shiunji Family Children anime adaptation details
The upcoming romantic comedy anime was first announced in February, 2024, with character visuals coming out for all seven of the Shiunji family children in November last year.
The anime is adapted from the manga series written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima (Rent-a-Girlfriend).
The manga is published in English by Yen Press, with six volumes out in Japanese, three in English so far and Volume 4 due out in May.
Yen Press describes the manga’s plot like this:
The love between brother and sister. The love between man and woman. That which is most forbidden is most unyielding. The two sons and five daughters of the Shiunji family shine like brilliant gems, each with intelligence and beauty in equal measure. And with the pedigree of their wealthy father behind them, how could they not be the talk of the town?
Eldest son Arata has spent his life being tossed around by the whims of his colorful sisters, yet a little teasing won’t stop him from valuing his family over anything and anyone else.
But when his youngest sister turns fifteen, their father reveals a long-hidden secret of the Shiunji “siblings” and knocks Arata’s world off its axis…
The anime adaptation of The Shiunji Family Children (which is already giving me vibes of The Quintessential Quintuplets) is being directed by Ryouki Kamitsubo (Softenni), with Noboru Kimura (Solo Leveling) in charge of series composition, and Miki Mutou (Episode Chief Animation Director for Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) designing the characters.
Studio Doga Kobo (Oshi no Ko) is animating the series.
Mark your calendars for April 8th, when The Shiunji Family Children anime will hit Crunchyroll.
Update: Second sister Seiha’s visual is also now out, along with third youngest sister Ouka’s strawberry picking trip.

Obsessed with anime and manga. Desperate for time to stop with only me left moving in the world. Then I’d have the time needed to watch the 543 anime DVDs I own, and read the more than 1,000 manga.
