Beyond the Bar Ep 5 earns highest Saturday ratings as international ratings also rise
JTBC legal-themed drama Beyond the Bar, Episode 5 aired in South Korea last night to its highest Saturday ratings so far, with both its nationwide and Seoul ratings placing it as the #1 most-watched show in its time slot.
A very nice achievement considering the K-drama usually earns much lower ratings on Saturdays than when its Sunday episode airs.
That nationwide rating for Beyond the Bar, Episode 5 was 7.16 percent, which is nicely up from last Saturday’s 6.72 percent of the audience share.
The Korean drama also earned 7.53 percent of the viewership in Seoul, which is a slight increase from last Saturday’s 7.20 percent.
Considering the Korean drama has always earned a higher rating for its Sunday episode, there is a high chance then that Episode 6 will grab another all-time high rating when it airs later on today.
International ratings rise for Beyond the Bar
The Lee Jin Wook-led drama is still incredibly popular on Netflix where it is currently sitting at #2 on the platform’s Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart with 4.8 million views this week alone.
Beyond the Bar is also earning an excellent 8.4 out of 10 on IMDB while, on My Drama List (MDL), it has also risen from its initial 8.3 out of 10 to today’s 8.4.
Comments also continue to be positive on MDL, with much discussion going on about the different legal cases the lawyers work on proving viewers are engaged with the plot.
The Korean drama stars Lee Jin Wook (Squid Game), Jung Chae Yeon (Family By Choice), Lee Hak Joo (My Dearest) and Jeon Hye Bin (Revolutionary Sisters).
Episode 6 of Beyond the Bar airs later on tonight on JTBC in South Korea and streaming on Netflix.
