Nobody will be surprised to learn that the popular Korean drama Family By Choice ended its with its highest ratings of its 16-episode run in South Korea last night.
Those ratings for Episodes 15 and 16, which aired back to back on Wednesday night, were 3.44 percent/3.67 percent nationwide and a slightly higher 3.75 percent/3.86 percent from viewers in Seoul.
Not huge ratings by any stretch of the imagination, but still proving that, not only was Family By Choice able to raise its first episode’s rating significantly (2.07 percent nationwide and 2.00 percent in Seoul), but also maintained that increase and, thus, its loyal base throughout its run.
Family By Choice even more popular with international viewers
Meanwhile, the Korean coming-of-age drama was even more popular outside the country, with Viki reporting it was the #1 most-watched series in all 140 countries they stream to at some point during its run.
Even better, Family By Choice was in the #1 spot for the entire six weeks new episodes were streaming, and that includes in the U.S., the UK much of Europe and most of Asia.
Family By Choice stars the excellent ensemble cast of Hwang In Youp, Jung Chae Yeon, Bae Hyun Sung, Choi Won Young, and Choi Moo Sung.
All 16 episodes are now streaming via Viki, where the Korean drama is receiving the crazy high rating of 9.8 out of 10 averaged out from the over 25,000 people rating it.
