New Fire Force, Season 3, Cour 2 key visual drops as anime premieres in 2026

While the second cour of the third and final season of Fire Force isn’t scheduled to begin airing until January, 2026, that isn’t stopping David Production from reminding us the fantasy action anime is on its way.

Nor from getting us excited for what’s to come.

The first of those reminders arrived today in the form of a vibrant Fire Force, Season 3, Cour 2 key visual via the anime’s X page.

The anime’s latest key visual features protagonist Shinra Kusakabe (aka Devil) front and center looking his usual wild self.

Fire Force, Season 3 production details

The third season of Fire Force is being directed by season 2 director Tatsuma Minamikawa (Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?), with Sei Tsuguta (screenwriter for Undead Unluck) in charge of scripts and series composition, while Hideyuki Morioka (Kizumonogatari) is the season’s character designer.

David Production (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) is also back in charge of animation.

The anime series is based on the manga written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo, with its first volume describing the plot like this:

All of humanity was terrified. A phenomenon known as “human combustion” occurs when ordinary people suddenly burst into flames, transforming into fiery monsters known as “Infernals” and wreaking havoc.

The Special Fire Brigade, which faces the terror of flames, has the mission of unraveling the mystery of this phenomenon and saving humanity!

Shinra, a young boy who has been dubbed a “devil” for a certain reason, aims to become a “hero” and, together with his friends, throws himself into the daily battle against the “Infernos”!

A fiery battle fantasy begins!

As we get closer to its premiere date, you can expect more information about the upcoming Fire Force cour to drop.
