2nd With You, Our Love Will Make It Through trailer makes anime look sad
I don’t know about you, but to me, the new trailer for the upcoming fantasy romance anime With You, Our Love Will Make It Through makes the anime look like it may be quite sad.
The latest With You, Our Love Will Make It Through trailer dropped today and shows protagonist Mari as she becomes intrigued with new beastfolk student Tsunagu Hidaka, and then falls in love.
Something, people around her, including other beastfolk, may not be too happy with. And something that may have negative consequences for both her and Tsunagu.
The second With You, Our Love Will Make It Through trailer also came with a gorgeous new key visual featuring the anime’s main characters, and information about its ending theme song — which is called “Kimi ni naretara” (If I Could Become Like You), and is being performed by Yoh Kamimiya.

The fantasy anime series is based on the popular manga of the same name, which is written and illustrated by mangaka Chihiro Yuzuki.
The manga has 9 volumes out in Japanese so far, with a 10th volume hitting shelves on September 25th.
Yen Press is publishing the series in English, although it hasn’t published many volumes as of yet, with its third volume just being published earlier this week.
Its anime adaptation is both being written and directed by Shin Itagaki (So I’m a Spider, So What?). He is also the sound director.
Hiromi Kimura (I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too) is designing the characters and also co-directing (yep, it appears it’s one of those anime with a small but dedicated staff), while Akiyoshi Yasuda (Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?) is composing the music.
Studio Millepensee (So I’m a Spider, So What?) is animating.
With You, Our Love Will Make It Through’s romantic plot goes like this:
The year is 20XX – Beastmen are creatures that mingle only slightly with human society. Mari is a high school student living in a town where humans and beastmen coexist.
Late for school, she meets Tsunagu, a beastman who has come as a “special student” in an educational program for beastmen. Though confused by the existence of “beastmen,” Mari finds herself drawn to the kind and pure Tsunagu as she interacts with him.
Meanwhile, it seems that some of her classmates don’t like beastmen… “I smell a sweet scent.” One day, the two are suddenly locked in a warehouse.
Then, Tsunagu suddenly embraces her as he is unable to resist Mari’s “sweet scent.”
The balance between the two attracted to each other is always precarious, and they are worried… “Is it weird to be captivated by a beastman boy, and then become stunned?”
A human and a beastman. A pure, sweet, and exciting interspecies youth love story begins, as the love between these two transcends species!
There has not been an announcement as to where the anime will be streaming internationally, but we do know it is due to premiere in Japan on October 14th.
