We’re getting a MarriageToxin anime! Trailer, key visual, staff and main cast announced
An anime adaptation of the fabulous hit rom-com manga series MarriageToxin has been announced, and if you love non-normal relationships featuring unusual and very weird people who tick quite differently than you and me, you will love, love, love this one.
Along with the MarriageToxin anime announcement, we also got a teaser trailer, a key visual, and the staff, studio and main cast named.
So let’s start with the teaser trailer, as it introduces our two protagonists — Hikaru Gero, a hitman whose specialty is poisonings, and Mei Kinosaki, a marriage scammer.
And, as you might expect when you know these two are going to be married, from the trailer it appears they may just be a match made in heaven.
The first MarriageToxin key visual also features Gero and Kinosaki, with Gero holding the syringes he uses to deliver poison, while Kinosaki is clutching the bouquet signifying her main skill — ripping bachelors off who are desperate to get married.
As for its cast, Haruki Ishiya (Rigur in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) was also named as the voice of Gero, while Shion Wakayama (Lemon in Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!) is playing Kinosaki.
For those who have read the manga, listen to the trailer and don’t you think these two are the perfect choice??!!

The first volume of the original Japanese version of the MarriageToxin manga describes its plot like this:
For generations, the legendary assassin clan known as the “Poison Users” has carried on its deadly legacy. Hikaru Gero, a young heir of the bloodline, makes his living in the shadows. But with his crippling fear of women, marriage is the last thing on his mind.
That changes when his family delivers an ultimatum: to preserve the Poison User bloodline, they’ll force his younger sister to bear an heir. Desperate, Gero crosses paths with his latest target — Mei Kinosaki, a cunning marriage scammer.
An unexpected partnership is born. With a professional con artist as his “marriage advisor,” Gero embarks on a quest for the ultimate wedding. What follows is the world’s toughest marriage-hunting battle action!
MarriageToxin is scheduled to premiere some time in 2026. We’ll update you here at Leo Sigh as more info about it drops.
