Just three episodes in, and the new anime series Assassin’s Pride isn’t getting particularly stellar views so far.
Not after so much of the original manga story has been edited out, as the subsequent pacing is just too fast.
One thing the series does have going for it though is the superb Assassin’s Pride opening song ‘Share The Light’ by Run Girls, Run!, aka Coco Hayashi, Yuka Morishima and Nanami Atsugi.
A song that already has over 100,000 plays on YouTube just a few days after release.
‘Share The Light‘ by Run Girls, Run! is as popular as it is, of course, as it perfectly illustrates the feel of the anime series — both the song, and the opening animation scenes that come with it.
The track was composed by Hidekazu Tanaka, with lyrics by Natsumi Tadano.
It will be released on a 6-track CD on November 27th, 2019.
The plot of Assassin’s Pride itself goes something like this:
Only those from noble families have the mana to be able to fight against monsters. Kufa is a noble born to a duke’s family who is sent to tutor a young woman named Melida.
If it turns out that Melida has no talent with mana, however, Kufa is secretly instructed to assassinate her.
Assassin’s Pride is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

Because that song is hella catchy.
