With the action fantasy anime Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie coming out on June 16th, Studio Pierrot is starting to promote the film with a series of cool videos and visuals.
The first of those promotions kicked off today with a new Asta character video specifically for the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King film.
The Asta character video is the first of four such videos that will be released and, if you are excited for the film to premiere, you will be just about ecstatic by the time you have watched this.
Sword of the Wizard King animation stands out in new Asta character video
The new Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King character video starts out with Asta screaming at the top of his lungs. As always.
(And Jesus, doesn’t voice actor Gakuto Kajiwara do an amazing job in the role!!!)
This time though, Asta is reminding everyone his only goal is to become the Wizard King, because the Wizard King’s only goal is to protect the nation and its people.
The Asta character video continues with Asta’s friends reminding him they are all there to support him in his quest, while he in turn reminds them they must all surpass their limits so he can succeed.
And while it is great to see all our favorite Black Clover characters back again looking cool and fierce and ready for anything, the real standout in Asta’s character video is the animation.
Because, even in the less than 30 seconds of clips that we get, it seems like Studio Pierrot has put just about everything they have into this.
And man, it shows.
Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King is due to start streaming on Netflix worldwide on June 16th, with movie theaters across Japan premiering the film at the same time.
Until then, keep an eye open for the next three character videos to drop in the next couple of weeks (my guess is the second one will be Yuno’s), and make sure you save the film on your Netflix watchlist.
That way you will get a notification as soon as it is out.
And, of course, if you have not yet started or not yet finished watching every available Black Clover episode (what’s wrong with you?), you might want to do that now before the film itself hits as its story continues on from there.
There are 170 superb episodes, though, so get at it. (Crunchyroll is currently streaming all 170 of them)
Netflix, by the way, has this to say about the film:
As a lionhearted boy who can’t wield magic strives for the title of Wizard King, four banished Wizard Kings of yore return to crush the Clover Kingdom.
