Buried Hearts Ep 10 earns all-time high ratings – 2nd most-watched show of Saturday

The SBS crime drama Buried Hearts earned its highest Friday ratings a couple of nights ago and, at the time, I predicted that would likely mean its Saturday ratings the following night would be the highest of its run.

That was proven true last night when Buried Hearts, Episode 10 aired and grabbed all-time high ratings both nationwide and in the capital city.

According to data released by Nielsen Korea, Buried Hearts, Episode 10 garnered 13.1 percent of the nationwide audience share — which is almost a 1.0 percent jump from its all-time high Friday rating of 12.2 percent on March 21st.

Its Seoul ratings were almost as high — grabbing 13.0 percent for Episode 10 compared to Episode 9’s audience share of 12.2 percent.

Those ratings also meant Buried Hearts was the second most-watched show for all of Saturday, behind the ongoing weekend drama For Eagle Brothers, which, let’s face it, is always in the top spot.

Then again, none of these high ratings are remotely a surprise, are they?

After all, not only did Buried Hearts start its run with excellent ratings, but the SBS drama was also the #1 show on the March K-drama Brand Reputation Rankings list a couple of weeks ago, so has obviously been getting a lot of attention in South Korea since it kicked off.

The next episode of Buried Hearts, which is headed by Park Hyung Sik and Huh Joon Ho, will air on Friday, March 28th on SBS, with Disney+ streaming it on the same night.

What’s betting we will see new all-time highs then, eh? (Update: We did — the Korean drama just hit its highest EVER ratings for Episode 13).
