Buried Hearts Ep 3 ratings rise again as K-drama airs opposite Undercover High School

The ongoing SBS drama Buried Hearts, Episode 3 aired last night to yet another ratings rise.

A rise that is especially good, considering the Korean revenge drama airs in the same time slot as the equally successful Undercover High School, which also earned excellent ratings last night.

Buried Hearts, Episode 3 performed even better than its competitor on Friday night, however, grabbing 8.8 percent of the nationwide viewership, compared to Undercover High School‘s very strong 6.6 percent.

In Seoul, it performed even better with an 8.9 percent of the audience share.

International viewers rate Buried Hearts after Episode 3

Buried Hearts is also seeing solid ratings over on My Drama List, where almost 1,000 people rating it are currently awarding it an average of 8.3 out of 10 stars.

Viewers are also complimenting the performances of the main leads (Park Hyung Sik, Huh Joon Ho, Lee Hae Young, and Hong Hwa Yeon) while, at the same time, commenting that the script, with its flashbacks, can be quite confusing.

Because of this, they are urging others to “stick around” and watch a few more episodes of the K-drama before they bail, as they feel what is currently incomprehensible will quickly become fascinating and cool.

Over on IMDB, where the Korean drama is titled Treasure Island, over 100 people are rating it a very high 9 out of 10 stars.

Buried Hearts is, unfortunately, streaming on Disney+ in the west (I say, “unfortunately”, as that usually means a lower number of viewers watching a Korean drama).

Episode 3 is up on the platform now, with Episode 4 dropping later on tonight.
