Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class releases trailer, visual, character art and staff

If you are into fantasy anime with a strong protagonist and a bevy of cute girls, it’s looking very much like you won’t go wrong with the upcoming Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest anime series.

Not if the cute character designs, gorgeous key visual and trailer released on the anime’s official website earlier today are anything to go by.

The anime’s staff was also announced at an earlier date.

The Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class trailer

Let’s start then with the new Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest trailer, which came out on the Kodansha-operated Full Anime TV YouTube channel earlier today. (watch below)

That trailer introduces protagonist Ein, the spirit Yuri who saves Ein as he almost dies, and Ursula the guardian of the yggdrasil, as they train Ein to become stronger.

Full Anime TV also reminds fans the Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class light novel series is also a manga, and now an anime, and that the anime will premiere on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 in Japan.

Next is the just-released and absolutely beautiful Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class key visual, which features Ein, Yuri, and Ursula alongside several of the anime’s other main characters, (didn’t I tell you about all those cute girls!) as Ein puts his power into action.

Now isn’t that art style pretty?

And finally, the anime’s production company has released character visuals for the latest-announced characters — Kurohime, Alice and Akabane — along with their voice actresses.

They are Minami Tsuda (Sally in Black Clover), who plays Kurohime, Kana Ichinose (Nephy in An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride), who is voicing Alice, and Aimi Terakawa (Yuzuki in Temple) who voices Akabane.

Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest light novels/manga

The upcoming fantasy anime is based on the hit light novel series by written by Ibarakino and illustrated by Yu Hitaki, which has earned more than 41 million views on the Japanese web novel site it was serialized on.

It has since been released in three volumes in Japanese so far, with Kodansha U.S. publishing its manga adaptation.

That currently has 11 volumes out and, with its extremely cute volume covers, is another great addition to a fantasy manga collection.

Kodansha also gives a quick rundown of the Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class plot:

In a fantasy world where “jobs” are god-given from birth, heroes are born, not made…and Ein’s job of “Appraiser” has put him about as far from the “hero” pedestal as possible.
Used, abused, and eventually abandoned by his fellow adventurers, Ein decides it just isn’t worth going on…
Lucky for Ein, though, the end may just be the beginning…and a new lease on life. Turns out, his “worthless” job may just be the key to becoming a hero after all…
Kenta Oonishi (The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter) is directing the anime series, with Tatsuya Sasaki (Yoasobi Gurashi!) as assistant director.
Anime studio Okuruto Noboru (Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included) is in charge of animation.
