Go For It, Nakamura-kun! anime postponed due to production problems
Well, now this is a crying shame as, being a huge Boys’ Love fan, this was one anime I was looking forward to dropping.
But, it appears the upcoming comedy Boys Love anime Go For It, Nakamura-kun!, which was originally scheduled to air in 2025, has been postponed due to production problems.
No clarification was made by animation studio Drive as to what exactly caused the delay, except to say “production issues” are the problem.
The delay was announced on the Go For It, Nakamura-kun! official X account today, along with a comment that the anime will now premiere some time in 2026.
The anime’s first two episodes are still due to be screened in a special screening in Tokyo on August 24th, however, so I have a feeling they will hit our shores long before the full anime premieres as well.
At least there is something to look forward to for fans of Boys’ Love anime then, right?
Go For It, Nakamura-kun! production details
The upcoming comedy anime is based on the Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! manga series written and illustrated by mangaka Syundei.
The anime is being directed by Aoi Umeki (Poputepipikku), with Yasuko Aoki (The Demon Prince of Momochi House) in charge of scripts and series composition, and with director Aoi Umeki also designing the characters.
Studio Drive (KonoSuba and To Your Eternity) is animating the series, while the anime is produced by Aniplex.
