Good Boy EP16 ends drama with HIGHEST ratings ever as international ratings vary
As someone who was a huge fan of the Korean drama Good Boy ever since its first episode dropped on May 31st, this morning I was thrilled to see Nielsen Korea’s data showing Good Boy, Episode 16 ended the JTBC drama’s run with its highest ratings ever.
Those ratings were the best Good Boy earned in its entire 16-episode run, both nationwide and from audiences in Seoul.
So much so, Good Boy, Episode 16 garnered 8.12 percent of the nationwide audience share, which is a full 1.50 percent higher than the rating for Episode 15 (6.61 percent) the night before.
The Korean action comedy also performed similarly well with viewers in Seoul, where its final episode grabbed 7.70 percent of the audience — up from the 6.30 percent it earned on Saturday night.
Congratulations to the director, cast and crew of Good Boy as, I would say, those ratings are well-deserved.
International ratings for Good Boy after Episode 16 airs
As you might expect, the ratings from international viewers vary immensely depending on which website you consider.
On IMDB, for instance, Good Boy is currently rated a quite low 7.7 out of 10 from more than 2,300 viewers.
Considering that site’s ratings are often lower than those on other sites, however, I always caution to generally add a few percentage points to an IMDB rating for any show you watch, and you will usually get a more accurate reading.
Over on My Drama List, however, Good Boy is earning a very solid 8.4 out of 10 from almost 5,800 users.
That rating has increased from the 8.3 it has been since the beginning of the month, to the 8.4 it is now garnering after the K-drama’s series finale.
So, yep, considering the solid rating and the mostly positive comments on the site, it appears MDL viewers at least were largely happy with what they watched.
Good Boy stars Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Seok.
You can watch all 16 episodes on Netflix or Prime Video, depending on where it’s streaming in your region.
