What My Dress-Up Darling manga chapter does Marin tell Gojou she loves him?

Marin tells Gojou she loves him for the first time in Volume 5 of the My Dress-Up Darling mangaat the end of Chapter 39.

She tells him after she and Gojou watch a scary movie in her room, and then Gojou heads back home.

Trying to sleep, however, and Marin realizes she is absolutely terrified. So she calls Gojou and asks him to talk to her on the phone until he falls asleep.

The two talk for quite a while, but Marin can tell Gojou is beginning to fall asleep.

Then, as she hears him begin to snore on the other end, she quietly says “Gojou-kun, I love you”.

And just like that, Marin was honest, but Gojou missed it.

Like I said, not exactly the ecstasy-inducing confession you’d like, eh?

Not at this point anyway.

As for the My Dress-Up Darling anime series, I have a feeling that point is where the first season will end. With Marin telling Gojou she loves him.

The My Dress-Up Darling manga series is written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda, and published by Square Enix.

There are currently 8 volumes out in Japanese, and 4 so far in English. Volume 5, the one with Marin’s confession, will be published on April 26th, 2022.

In North America, the easiest place to buy or pre-order them is Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
