Isekai novels/manga ‘A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation’ get anime – here’s what we know so far

Fans of the ongoing slice of life, isekai adventure series A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation will be thrilled to hear an anime adaptation of the hit light novel series and manga adaptation is now in the works.

Along with a cute visual, the announcement was made earlier today via the TO Books X account, with the account reminding fans the book series has sold more than 1.5 million copies so far.

It also advertised Volume 19 of the original light novel series will be released on October 15th in Japan, along with Volume 11 of the manga.

In the west, Tokyo Pop has been publishing the manga series in English since late 2020, with Volume 9 of the manga due out on October 22nd.

Yep, the west is still behind Japan in its publications, sadly.

Tokyo Pop describes the manga’s plot like this:

When Lizel mysteriously finds himself in a city that bears odd similarities to his own but clearly isn’t, he quickly comes to terms with the unlikely truth: this is an entirely different world.

Even so, laid-back Lizel isn’t the type to panic. He immediately sets out to learn more about this strange place, and to help him do so, hires a seasoned adventurer named Gil as his tour guide and protector.

Until he’s able to find a way home, Lizel figures this is a perfect opportunity to explore a new way of life adventuring as part of a guild. After all, he’s sure he’ll go home eventually… might as well enjoy the otherworldly vacation for now!

The light novels are written by Misaki and illustrated by Momochi, while the manga series is illustrated by both Momochi and Sando.

There is no word yet on the studio that will be in charge of the A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation anime production, or the director, staff or cast.

We will update you here on Leo Sigh as more information is released.

Meanwhile, if you have read any of the A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation books, you will know we have a lovely, chill and upbeat isekai anime to look forward to.

There is also a nice little review of the book series by YouTuber Mary the Librarian, if you’re interested in learning more.
