The Korean actress Jeon Hye Jin has been confirmed as starring in upcoming new drama Riding Life (known as 라이딩 인생 in Korea).

The actress’ involvement in the K-drama was confirmed by her agency, HODU&U Entertainment, earlier today with the statement “We ask that you support for Jeon Hye Jin, who is preparing to greet viewers with a new project.”

The 47-year-old actress most recently starred in ENA/Genie TV drama Not Others alongside Choi Soo Young in 2023.

She and her family tragically made headlines around the world later in the year, however, when her husband, actor Lee Sun Kyun, committed suicide after being harassed by Korean police, the news media and so-called “fans” due to his alleged drug use.

He was 48-years-old at the time of his death on December 27th, 2023, and he left behind not only his wife Jeon Hye Jin, but 14-year-old and 12-year-old sons.

Jeon Hye Jin’s role in the upcoming Riding Life will be her first since her husband’s death.

She is also starring in the upcoming film Mission: Cross, with Hwang Jung Min, and Yeom Jung Ah, which is due to premiere in August.

There is no more information about Riding Life as of yet, except that it will premiere in 2025, nor any announcement about her co-stars.

As the Korean drama is currently in production, though, we will likely hear more news soon.

Until then, do everything you can to make sure Jeon Hye Jin’s re-emergence into the entertainment world occurs without mishap.

She has two children to support.
