Ji Chang Wook And Shin Hye Sun to star in Welcome to Samdalri? Both actors currently in talks

South Korean actors Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun could be starring in the upcoming JTBC drama Welcome to Samdalri (working title).

According to Korea’s Newsen, both Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun are currently in talks to star in the romantic drama, with both actor’s agencies confirming they have received offers to star in the lead roles of Cho Yong Pil (Ji Chang Wook) and Sam Dal (Shin Hye Sun).

Welcome to Samdalri is being directed by Cha Young Hoon (When the Camelia Blooms), with the screenplay by Kwon Hye Joo (Hi, Bye Mama).

Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook is currently filming the Chinese rom-com drama Mr. Right alongside Wang Xiao Chen and Andy Zhang.

He is also starring in the crime dama The Worst of Evil, which is due to premiere later in 2023.

If he accepts the Welcome to Samdalri role as well, 2023 will turn out to be a very busy year for the 35-year-old Korean actor.

Not that Shin Hye Sun is any less busy.

She is also starring in Welcome to My 19th Life this year in the main role of Ban Ji Eum, as well as in the horror film Open the Door.

No word yet on when Welcome to Samdalri will begin filming, but it is likely to be soon as the drama premieres later this year.

We will keep you posted as soon as we learn more.
