Especially as it will be free-to-watch on YouTube, and premieres on October 2nd, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter.

Koala’s Diary (aka Koala Enikki) follows a friendly Koala who always writes about the day he has just had in his diary.

It could be a good day, or it could be terrible. But Koala never forgets to write about it as, in his mind, every day you live is still precious.

And, while the anime itself looks adorably cute, what’s just as interesting is that every character is voiced by Aya Uchida (Kaede in Yuru Yuri).

That means every character you see in the Koala’s Diary key visual below — Hedgehog, Crow, Emu  — and others not shown, will be voiced by the brilliantly talented Japanese voice actress.

You can hear her quietly voicing Koala in the just-released Koala’s Diary trailer below — yep, super cute, right?

Koala’s Diary production details

The upcoming slice-of-life anime is directed by Takao Kato (As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World).

Chiharu Hara (episode animation director of There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless..) is the character designer, while Studio MOTHER (Arifureta: From a Detour to the World’s Strongest) is animating.

The anime is adapted from the Koala’s Diary manga by Yuami, which currently has four volumes out in Japanese.

Subscribe to the Koala’s Diary YouTube Channel, and look out for the adorable-looking anime dropping on October 2nd at 7 am (EST time). Because this one looks super chill.
