The first full-length Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest, Season 3 trailer is out and you’ll remember, at the end of Season 2, we left Hajime, Yue and the rest of Hajime’s girls, as well as the other students from the original group, heading to The Great Labyrinth.
Via the Emperor’s territory, of course.
Now, the new Arifureta, Season 3 trailer begins with Shea remembering her family and friends being killed or kidnapped by Imperial soldiers, but soon switches to Hajime’s harem perving on him, only to end with Hajime planning on destroying the Empire.
Because, really, why not?
Yep, the new Arifureta, Season 3 trailer fits a lot in during a 1 minute 27 second teaser. (Watch below — and run the YouTube Translate option on it to get an idea of what’s going on).
What is the Arifureta plot?
The Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest anime is based on the light novels written by Ryo Shirakome and illustrated by Takaya-ki.
A quick rundown of the basic Arifureta plot goes like this:
Like the novels, the anime follows high school student Hajime Nagumo, as he suddenly finds himself not only isekai-ed into a fantasy world with most of his class, but is then the victim of an attempted murder after another student pushes him down into the deepest depths of a dangerous labyrinth.
That mishap, however, leads to Hajime slowly leveling up over several months by fighting monsters and then eating them.
Everything he eats then bestows new skills on him until, by the time he meets ancient vampire Yue, who has been trapped in the labyrinth for hundreds of years, he is pretty much one of the strongest beings out there.
Now Hajime plans on beating each of the Great Labyrinths so he can learn the magic each one is protecting. That way, he can eventually get back to Japan, and the life he left behind.
The Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest light novels are being published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The first two seasons of the hit anime series are now streaming on Hulu, while the third season is due out some time this Fall.
A cool key visual for the third season of Arifureta featuring the always overpowered “useless rabbit” Shea was released a few weeks ago.
