Law and the City Ep 11 earns best ratings as it heads into finale – international viewers still rating it low
Law and the City heads into its series finale later on tonight on record high ratings for Episode 11.
According to Nielsen Korea, Law and the City, Episode 11 earned a nationwide rating of 6.39 percent on Saturday night, which is slightly higher than the previous high of 6.11 percent the K-drama earned for Episode 6.
The Korean drama also grabbed a record 6.59 percent rating in Seoul.
Both ratings also placed the tvN drama as the #1 show in its time slot on cable, as well as the #1 show across all broadcast channels
That also likely means we will be seeing even higher ratings tonight as it ends its 12-episode run.
International ratings for Law and the City after Episode 11 airs
Interestingly, the law-themed drama is still not performing particularly well with international viewers, who are currently awarding it a low 7.7 out of 10 on My Drama List, and a very low 7.1 out of 10 on IMDB.
That My Drama List rating, however, is likely to rise once the drama has ended, and those users on My Drama List who don’t downrate a drama they are not watching leave their final rating.
Especially as, overall, the comments about the drama from viewers who have now viewed Episode 11 are positive, ranging from:
Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ga Young finally picked a good script!!
to
I absolutely adore this cast and the slice-of-life cases. I appreciate that the writer did not overwork the scenarios and relationships for dramatic effect, but gave them space to sit and unfold.
The pacing is beautifully done as well. I am so not ready for this to end! I hope it comes with news of another season.
Tune in later on tonight to bid farewell to the superb cast comprising Lee Jong Suk, Moon Ga Young, Kang You Seok, Ryu Hye Young, and Im Seong Jae.
And keep your fingers crossed we will see a higher rating as the drama ends as, if you enjoy a slice-of-life show rather than a thrilling, fast-paced drama, Law and the City has been wonderful.
Heck, it’s been so well-done, I could easily go for a Season 2, couldn’t you?
Update: Episode 12 of Law and the City ended the K-drama’s run with even higher ratings than Episode 11. Yay, eh?
