Premiere date and cast of Live Your Own Life

The upcoming KBS2 weekend drama Live Your Own Life (효심이네 각자도생 in Korean) is due to premiere on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 20:05 (KST) through March 17th, 2024.

Outside South Korea, the Korean drama will be streaming via Viki, with subtitles in English, French, German and a slew of other languages.

The romance melodrama stars Uee, Ha Jun and Go Joo Won, with a stellar supporting cast of Kim Do Yeon, Nam Sung Jin, Lee Kwang Ki, Yoon Mi Ra and Seol Jung Hwan.

The Live Your Own Life plot

Hyo Shim, a personal trainer at TS Fitness, has forged a thriving career, but her familial responsibilities begin to burden her.

As the sole sister among four siblings, she shoulders undesirable tasks and financial strains for her eldest brother, solely focused on his own family, her intelligent yet self-centered second eldest brother, and her youngest brother, chasing elusive financial gains.

Her mother, unfortunately, allies herself with Hyo Shim’s brothers, leaving her with little support.

Amidst this turmoil, Kang Tae Ho, a meticulous new gym member, becomes the tipping point.

Determined to reclaim control over her life, Hyo Shim resolves to prioritize her own well-being, taking the crucial first step towards inner peace.

Live Your Own Life director and screenwriter

Directing the weekend K-drama is Kim Hyung Il, director of Brilliant Heritage and The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won.

It is written by screenwriter Jo Jung Seon, who is known for her past hits Father, I’ll Take Care of You, Mother of Mine and My Heart Twinkle Twinkle.
